A SUDDEN TURN ... Pink Summit Sunset // New Zealand It's a cloudy day on the South Island and my camera hasn't even seen the light of day yet. PLAYING WITH EXPOSURE Horse a la playa // El Salvador It's the "Golden Hour", just after sunset. By deliberately overexposing the image, I achieve a surrealistic mood. Surprisingly in this case: The scene doesn’t produce (m)any colors, which amplifies the minimalistic style. No b&w effects needed!

MEXICAN HEALING POWER Macario Cimas // Mexico I meet Macario, one of the few remaining healers in the rural mountain regions of Oaxaca, to take part in his Temazcal (traditional Mexican sauna) and to learn about his alternative healing approaches, including hallucinogenic mushrooms.

SMALL BUT MIGHTY Rainforest Waterfall // USA While hiking along a narrow trail in the Olympic National Park, I come across this little gem of floating water. As far as I know, this waterfall doesn't even have a name. But getting close can make things appear much bigger than they actually are.
