First days alone

It doesn’t take long for me to get tired of waiting, so I decide soon to continue my trip alone for the moment. Nobody had really reacted on my advertisements. The last day at Callaghan Lake I go for a long hike into the backcountry, which leads me close to the glaciers up on top of the surrounding mountains. As the weather isn’t very promising and I can’t make out the right trail straight away, I turn around and walk back to the lake.

From Squamish to Whistler

Back on the mainland we make our way to Squamish in the north of Vancouver. After driving around in the surrounding forest for a bit, we find a local that gives us directions to a well-hidden campsite next to a rough creek. Even though there is a powerhouse just a few hundred meters up the river, the spot feels very wild. The first night we are the only ones there and enjoy the whole scenery to ourselves.
